The Canvas Calendar has layers for each course associated with the user. The Calendar has a wide variety of benefits and uses. Check them out below.

- If you have old calendar items that carried over from Moodle or Blackboard, you will have to delete each one individually.
- Check for old calendar items by going to Syllabus, then enabling Course Summary. Old calendar items will appear in the Course Summary list.

Try It!
Go to your Sandbox and find the calendar in the left navigation menu. Practice using the calendar by completing these two tasks:
- Add an Event to your personal calendar layer.
- From the Calendar, add an Assignment to your Sandbox course called Practice Assignment.
- Check for old calendar items by going to Syllabus, then enabling Course Summary.
