Request a Canvas Course and Migration of Content

If you'd like to teach in Canvas using migrated content from Moodle or Blackboard, there are three steps:

1. Log into SPIRE and request a Canvas course Links to an external site. through Faculty Center.
2. Complete the Course Migration Request form Links to an external site. to migrate your content from Moodle or Blackboard to Canvas.
3. Import your migrated content into your official SPIRE course.

 Tips

• In the SPIRE Canvas Course Request, don't select multiple sections unless you are sure you would like to combine these sections into one Canvas course. If you want to put each section into a different Canvas course, you must submit a separate request for each individual section.
• If you'd like to migrate content from several different Moodle or Blackboard courses, you must submit a separate Course Migration Request for each individual course.
